How to Make Pebble Bath Mat

If you have ever coveted one of those fancy, pebble bath mat-inspired spa sold in stores decoration, but resisted the selling price, consider making your own. Smooth river stones are available in craft stores in all sizes and shades, so you can personalize your mat by combining stones of different sizes and colors or use a single type.

Instructions to make pebble bath mat: spread some old newspapers down on the floor and place the rubber mat on top of them. Arrange river rocks as narrow as possible and a similar depth on the surface of the rubber mat. Remove the two or three rocks from central bath mat and put them on the floor to the side.

Apply generous amount of hot glue or adhesive contact to the surface of the mat inside the gap revealed by removing the stones in the center. Immediately replace two or three rocks removed by pressing down on the tail.

Repeat steps 3 and 4, by juxtaposing two or three rocks with the first rocks glued down. Continue working from the center to the outside of the mat, hitting two or three rocks down at a time. Let the glue dry for at least 24 hours prior to the pebble bath mat used.
